Resume Engine

About

Resume Engine tailors your real resume to a specific job. It reorders and rewords the experience you already have into the language the posting is looking for - and it refuses to invent anything you can't back up in the interview.

Why this exists

Most applications never reach a human. A filter reads the resume first, and a strong candidate whose resume is worded for the wrong job gets dropped before anyone notices the fit. The usual fix is to rewrite the resume for each role by hand, which is slow, or to let an AI tool do it, which often means quietly inventing skills and titles that fall apart in a background check or a technical screen.

Resume Engine takes the honest path. It reads your resume and the job description, surfaces the experience that actually matches, and rewrites it in the role's terms - without adding a single thing that isn't already true about you.

What it won't do

Most AI resume tools generate first and leave you to catch the mistakes after - a made-up metric, an invented achievement, a bullet that reads well but isn't true. Resume Engine is built the other way: fabrication is a rule it cannot break, not a risk you're expected to review away.

How it works

You paste or upload your resume and paste the job description. Resume Engine checks the fit first and says so plainly. If it's a real fit, it returns a tailored, one-page, ATS-safe PDF - and, if you want them, an interview prep sheet and a cover letter built from the same honest reading of your experience. Everything traces back to what you actually did.

¿Hablas español?

Puedes pegar tu currículum en español. Resume Engine lo lee en español y te devuelve un currículum en inglés, listo para postularte a trabajos en Estados Unidos - sin inventar nada que no esté ya en tu experiencia. (Paste your resume in Spanish - Resume Engine reads it and returns an English one, ready for US job applications.)

Your information stays yours

There are no accounts and no database. Your resume and job description are used to generate your result and then discarded - never stored, never sold, never used to train anything. If you upload a PDF, the text is read in your browser and the file itself never leaves your device. The Privacy Policy spells out exactly what happens to your data and for how long.

The honest fine print

Resume Engine is free during early access and built by one person who thought job seekers deserved a tool that doesn't lie on their behalf. It's a writing and formatting tool, not career counseling or a guarantee of a job - the Terms cover that. If you have a question or something to say about it, get in touch.
